LONDON, April 21, 2022:
The Association of British Tamil Lawyers collaborated with its Corporate Partner 33 Bedford Row, to host a mock interview panel event for aspiring barristers.
Five aspiring barristers were split across two panels of 2-3 senior barristers who mock interviewed each candidate and provided individually tailored feedback in half-hour slots.
ABTL welcomed Dr S Chelvan, Alexander Adamou, Diana Constantinide, Elizabeth Fisher, and Ayesha Smart, all barristers with several years of experience including as part of recruitment committees in chambers, to interview our candidates.
The mock interview sessions were followed by a joint Q&A session where candidates were able to ask questions related to the pupillage interview and selection process. Attendees at the mock interview event went on to secure a pupillage.
The event was well-received by the attendees. Feedback included:
“It was a great event, which really provided amazing insight into pupillage interviews. I would definitely recommend to friends.”
The Q&A was filmed and can be found on ABTL’s YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbnt_BmVrAQ&t=990s .
